Firewalls and VPNs
Companies and
organizations must share data and information with remote employees,
customers, and partners over the Internet and private networks. Firewalls
protect corporate data and information from unauthorized access, while
VPNs allow remote users to gain secure, encrypted access to the company
information over unsecured mediums, such as the Internet. VPNs also allow
organizations to utilize low cost Internet connectivity instead of costly
dedicated circuits.
